The Hocking Hills Tea Party Patriots was born July 15th, 2010 in a small meeting room at the Logan Public Library, Logan Ohio.  A handful of Patriots came together, formed a steering committee and determined what the Mission, Purpose, Objectives and Approach would be for the HHTPP.

It was determined that the Hocking Hills Tea Party Patriots would strive to be informed on local, state and federal legislative/political issues and candidates/officials for the purpose of taking action through a precinct network in the Hocking Hills region.  In addition the HHTPP will educate itself on the History of our Nation, the US Constitution and the political process through books, speakers, seminars, etc.  This education will be for the purpose of determining which candidates and issues promote freedom and Constitutional principles and those who do not.  Gleaning from what we have learned we will engage in various grassroots activities, primarily precinct organizing, in order to promote freedom in the Hocking Hills region and add to the efforts of the Tea Party Movement in Ohio and the Nation.

Our mission is to broaden awareness of the freedoms guaranteed us by the United States Constitution, and promote grassroots engagement in the enforcement of those freedoms and preservation of that Divinely inspired document.

To promote: Limited Government, Fiscal and Personal Responsibility, Free Markets and a return to Constitutional Principles.

Hocking Hills Tea Party Patriots has been formed by a group of area residents who share the common belief that in order for our Nation to remain free, we must return to our Country’s founding principles.  These principles are found in such documents as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. We believe that these sound principles of limiting government and promoting freedom and liberty for all Americans, should be applied to every level of government. We also believe that our freedoms are given to us by God and are not subject to the will or restraint of man. Therefore, being free men and women… we choose to use our voices and our actions to promote the just cause of restoring and protecting those freedoms for the sake of all.  So help us God.
